Terms of Service

The short version. Use Sideby on stores you control, don't try to break it, and understand that it is provided as-is. Either side can end the arrangement at any time by uninstalling.

1. The agreement

These terms govern use of Sideby ("the Service"), an application for OpoShop stores published by Found ("we", "us"). Installing or using Sideby means accepting them. If you are accepting on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to do so.

2. What Sideby does

Sideby adds a product-comparison feature to a merchant's storefront: a Compare control on product pages and collection cards, a selection tray, and a comparison drawer that lays selected products out as columns on a specification sheet.

It reads the store's catalogue to propose which attributes to compare on, and reads the store's own public product data at display time to fill in values. It makes no changes to the store.

3. Your responsibilities

Use Sideby only on OpoShop stores you own or are authorised to administer.
Make sure the product information you publish — and any values you type into Sideby by hand — is accurate. What appears in the comparison drawer is presented to your shoppers as fact.
Do not attempt to circumvent authentication, access another store's data, or interfere with the Service's operation.
Comply with the law applicable to your store, including any rules about how products are described or compared in your market.

4. Accuracy of comparisons

Sideby displays information it reads from your store, plus any values you enter yourself. It does not verify, correct or interpret that information, and it never invents a value — a product that cannot answer a row shows a dash. You remain responsible for what your store says about your products.

5. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Sideby is deliberately built so that if it is unavailable, your storefront renders exactly as it would if Sideby were not installed — no comparison feature, and nothing broken.

6. Changes to the Service

We may add, alter or remove features. Where a change would materially reduce what the Service does for you, we will make a reasonable effort to tell you in advance.

7. Fees

Any fees, and the terms attaching to them, are as stated on the OpoShop App Store listing at the time of installation. Where the Service is provided at no charge, we may begin charging for future use with notice.

8. Intellectual property

Sideby, its interface and its underlying code remain the property of Found. Your store data, product information and configuration remain yours. Nothing here transfers ownership in either direction.

9. Termination

You may stop using Sideby at any time by uninstalling it from your store, which immediately stops the storefront feature. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or for abuse of the Service. Your configuration is retained after uninstall so a reinstall restores it; you can ask us to delete it instead.

10. Disclaimer and liability

The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Found is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including lost sales or lost profits. Our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
